Property and Casualty Insurance Account Manager

Our growing team is looking for licensed insurance Account Managers experienced in personal lines. Account Managers provide service to both new and existing affluent personal lines clients for a direct carrier.

 

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to nurture strong, collaborative relationships between the producer, clients, carrier, and teammates; maintain enhanced level of technical expertise through ongoing commitment to professional development; and to develop subject matter expertise. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned book of business including active account management (account rounding, renewals, and customer service for all policy changes, servicing, and claims)
  • Ensures retention by communicating and delivering the value of the Company at policy renewal periods and recommends changes as needed to ensure high quality coverage
  • Utilize agency customer relationship management system (CRM) and carrier systems
  • Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor, great communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and stay calm under pressure
  • Maintain property/casualty licensing, CE, and/or other accreditation as appropriate

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 2-3 years of personal lines insurance experience working for a retail agency. Experience managing accounts for private client accounts is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Broad Major Market portal experience – especially with high-end carriers such as Chubb, AIG, Pure, Vault is preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of personal lines insurance markets, products and usages, including but not limited to, account exposures, insurance coverages, and quoting and retention process
  • Possess a customer-centric responsive approach
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and sound organization and time management skills are critical:
    • Technical proficiency with rate, programs, coverage, exclusions and carriers in Private Client Group personal lines insurance
    • Self-starter and problem solver with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a complex working environment
    • Demonstrates a professional approach in all communication methods
    • Able to quickly adapt to unexpected change and daily needs.
  • Must be P&C licensed and be eligible to obtain nonresident licenses in all 50 states (company paid licensing costs)
