Job Summary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for developing high-quality courses for online and hybrid environments for the training department across the organization. This position works closely with Vice President of Training and is responsible for the supervision of the curriculum team. In addition, they provide instructional design support, consultation, needs-based training and guidance for best-practices, compliance support, and quality assurance.

 

Area of expertise (Skills)

Responsibilities:

1.    Plan, organize, and conduct workshops in new content designs or programs for internal and external stakeholders
2.    Coordination and implementation of curriculums
3.    Coordinates with SME’s to develop online courses that meet the standards for quality assurance as determined by the training department
4.    Supervise and be responsible for the quality of work created by the Instructional Design team
5.    Review coursework against training requirements for external and internal stakeholders
6.    Proofread, coordinate, approve and maintain curriculum developed by the Instructional Design team
7.    Analyze learner performance data to improve retention in programs
8.    Assess and discuss the implementation of curriculum standards with stakeholders
9.    Responsible to create and design an onboarding curriculum for our new hires
10.    Recommend teaching techniques and the use of different or new technologies
11.    Develop procedures for facilitators to implement a curriculum
12.    Mentor or coach internal Instructional design team to improve their skills
13.    Coordinate the project plan and progress made by the curriculum team
14.    Review and approve course content in client LMS created by the Course Development team
15.    Collaborate with the Partnerships team and Business Development team
16.    Perform other duties as assigned

 

Other Skills and Experiences (Min)

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is required.  
•    Knowledge of performance-based instructional design.  Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360 Suite, Lectora, and instructional design methodology preferred.
•    Five (5) years of related experience at a college or university or corporate training environment
•    Experience in successfully prioritizing, managing multiple projects, and working in a diverse and professional team environment
•    Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences
•    Functions and communicates effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities and cultural backgrounds

 

Education
