Job Summary

The End User Computer Technician under general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor, performs technical, and administrative work in the maintenance, and the installation of new and existing personal computer systems. Performs level 2 triage and provides onsite as well as remote support for Desktop, Software, Telecom, Systems, and Networking teams. Works on moderately complex end user support. Confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software requirements and determines direction based on approved hardware and software.  Installs new hardware and maintains existing hardware.  Trains end users in use of equipment and software.

Other Skills and Experiences (Min)

  1. Minimum 3-years’ experience as a personal computer technician supporting a mid/large environment of users
  2. Proven ability to troubleshoot users’ issues remotely
  3. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, OneDrive, and Teams
  4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, personal computer-based application software, printers, and networking cabling
  5. Proficient with remote support tools i.e., Bomgar
  6. Advanced knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals 
  7. Ability to resolve personal computer hardware issues including but not limited to component level diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and replacements.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
