Job Summary
The Senior HR/Person Office Manager will report directly to the VP, North America Person Office. In this role they will support the implementation of regional initiatives and manage the needs of the Highland Park site to ensure consistency and promote improved communications and culture. This role will partner heavily with the Mission Office to deliver services and programs to promote and foster culture. This role will also support the integration of acquired businesses and manage specific customer groups.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support VP, NA with integrations of acquired businesses in the region
- Leads the consolidation for the various groups resident in Highland Park by working with peers to review and analyze survey data and develop action plans with their customer groups to respond to employee feedback
- Business partner for internal customer groups
- Develop and facilitate site leadership council aimed at reducing confusion and improving communication and service to all customer groups
- Works closely with the leadership team to maintain and improve the site facilities and work environment, coordinating local events and activities
- Partners with business leaders to guide the deployment of the Person Office strategies and programs to attract, develop, and retain talent
- Plans, leads, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, programs, and initiatives, to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Uses organizational savvy to assess issues and present relevant solutions, guide departmental heads, management, and stakeholders through a collaborative and shared decision-making process
- Leads and/or oversees the local implementation of programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and engagement; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
- With a focus on the people side of change, positively drive change in support of business objectives
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Support the development and implementation of talent management initiatives across the region
- Provide oversight for EHS compliance/reporting
- Performs other duties as required

- Canadian labor experience highly preferred
- Prior manufacturing, distribution center, or warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to travel by air and automobile to support the needs of the role
- Position is on-site in Highland Park
Other Skills and Experiences (Min)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least eight years of human resource management experience required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
- Proven work experience as a Senior HR Manager or similar role
- Hands-on experience with HR Management Software (including payroll systems and ATS)
- Solid understanding of labor legislation
